Fox Valley Chapter 2017 Events

We conduct two formal meetings each year one in April and one in October -- The dates for 2017 have not been finalized. In these formal meetings, we recognize new members, confer awards such as for Outstanding Citizenship, ROTC Leadership, Heroism, and Knight Essay

We have informal monthly meetings hosted by our Chapter President, Harry Reineke IV, on the third Saturday of every month.

The monthly meetings are held in a comfortable atmosphere where members can sit down and have a nice conversation with Harry and other members. They will be held in three different locations this year, The Fox Restaurant in Lisle, The American Legion Post 187 in Elmhurst and the Messenger Library in North Aurora. The addresses, dates and times are given in our quarterly newsletters. These newsletters are sent via email to our members, and they are available on our website. Go to Newsletters & Archives.

The newsletters announce other events like patriot grave marking, geneological meetings, etc. Just click on Newsletters & Archives, select the most recent quarterly newsletter, and scroll down to see meeting announcements.

Another informal meeting is held in September at Cantigny in Winfield, IL. The exact date for 2017 is not yet available but is often the weekend after Labor Day. This meeting occurs in conjunction with our partiticpation in the renowned Revolutionary War Days -- where reenactors in American and British uniforms camp and stage a Revoutionary War battle. This is an activity for the whole family and is not to be missed. Our chapter's participation is primarily in the form of education, outreach and recruitment although some of our members have been known to participate as reenactors.

Photos and details on our events from 2003 to 2016 are available in the Photos & Events section.
