Our Speaker and reenactor from the Northwest Territory Alliance Ron Feldman and his whole family explained the functions of the uniforms and clothes in the Revolutionary period. These fascinating insights deepened our appreciation of the achievements of our ancestors. | |||

Fox Valley Chapter 2013 Events
We produce two formal meetings each year, and we have informal monthly meetings hosted by our Chapter President, Rod Herbig, on the second Saturday of every month.
The monthly meetings are held in a comfortable atmosphere where members can sit down and have a nice conversation with Rod. They are held in the back area of a nice restaurant, The Fox, located on Ogden Avenue, and Main Street in Lisle. Rod has reserved the time from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm.
In 2013, the second Saturdays in each month are January 12, February 9, March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9, and December 14. This is a good opportunity to met Rod and ask questions about Fox Valley chapter or SAR activities. There is no need to call ahead, just drop by the Fox Restaurant, any time from noon to 2pm.

The Social Hour starts at 5:00pm and Dinner starts at 6:00pm.

Our speaker is Ron Feldman from the Northwest Territory Alliance. He will be presenting uniforms and equipment used in America in the 1770's.
In addition to our speaker, we will presents awards to our Eagle Scout winner, our ROTC winners and the winner of the Knight Essay Contest. Our compatriots always enjoy seeing patriotic youth recognized for their achievements.
All SAR, DAR and CAR members and their guests are welcome to attend!!
The cost for the banquet is $36.00 for adults and $20.00 for children under 12:

Our speaker is Dale Phillips, Superintendent of the Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Springfield. This is the only home that Lincoln ever owned.
His presentation is: "George Rogers Clark and the Revolution in the Illinois Territory".If not for George Rogers Clark, Illinois and Indiana would be part of Canada today. Hear how "The Conqueror of the Northwest" helped shape our nation during the Illinois and Indiana campaigns during the Revolutionary War from one of the leading experts on the topic, National Park Service Superintendent Dale Phillips.
