October 27, 2019 Luncheon Meeting

Photos from our Annual Luncheon Meeting in the Gettysburg Room at Lincoln Inn Banquests, 1345 South Batavia Ave (Rte 31), Batavia, IL 60510.

Our luncheon, was an opportunity to welcome new members, recognize signficant achievements, award medals and enjoy fellowship. For example, Herb Martin was presented with the Lafayette Volunteer Service Medal for all his work entering ancestor information into the SAR Database.

This year four members of the Naftzger family (Douglas, Gregory, Wesley and Russell) became members. Douglas, who lives in Grapevine Texas, had his certificate received by his daughter, Jill Doherty, and two of his sons who live in Illinois were present to receive their certificates in person.

Also in the meeting, we played Ted Miller's Kahoot Revolutionary War Trivia game which is both educational and a crowd pleaser. In lieu of a speaker, Ted ran a video on the history of the Revolutionary War.

One of the highlights was the Ted Miller's Summary of 2019. See his 12 page pdf report.
